Congratulations Rebecca and Dan!
We were lucky enough to work with an adorable couple and my good friends, Rebecca and Dan, to create their wedding invitations and programs. These two tied the knot this past weekend in Bluffton, OH and I just have to share some of the gorgeous shots of their wedding from Widdis Photography.

Secret to a perfect wedding proposal
Last week we told you about the man who snagged his fiance by planning a proposal outside of Bliss Bakery. But what if you are clueless about how to plan the perfect proposal? First, admit that you need help. Next, hire a professional planner.
We hear this is a growing trend that event planners are seeing ... proposal planning! I know there is something to be said for doing everything yourself, you manly man, you. But take it from a woman, there is a LOT to be said about a guy who executes an elaborate, romantic proposal, no matter who did the planning. It's all about the story she is going to be telling EVERYONE afterward.
Not convinced? Hop over to Style Me Pretty where they have the whole story of this stunning New York City proposal planned by Brilliant Event Planning.

Baseball theme
I wouldn't have believed that a baseball theme for a wedding could be amazing if I hadn't come across Josh and Nichole's photos. Their wedding was designed and coordinated by Amorology Weddings team, and it shows both the bride and the groom's personalities were taken into consideration.
My favorite part is the peanut and candy tray!

DIY ring holder for ceremony
Whether you have a book-themed wedding or you and your betrothed just love to read, this is a great detail to include in your ceremony. Turn an old book into a ring-holder! There is no way your little ring bearer is going to lose this, and it's not a big deal if he drops it half way down the aisle.
From Brittni, of papernstitch:
Its for a unique ceremony ring holder made from a vintage book. I made one for my own wedding, which was almost a year ago. And now that my wedding is long gone, I’d thought I’d share the idea. We wanted something different that would tie in the ceremony site with the reception (the reception was at the Downtown Library rooftop about a mile from the ceremony), and I couldn’t find anything that would work. So, I made this. It’s very easy, and will take all of ten minutes to complete. Perfect for the busy bride.
What you’ll need:
- vintage book
- ruler
- pencil
- xacto knife
- ribbon
Instructions:
Step 1: Choose a book that has special meaning to you or your relationship. Or perhaps is the color(s) of your wedding.
Step 2: Turn to almost halfway through your book (a little less than half), and draw a small two inch box center right (toward the outside of the book).
Step 3: Using a straightedge and an xacto knife, follow the guide of your box and begin slicing through along the lines. You will want to press down hard and go over each line over and over, so that you go through as many layers as possible. I would recommend cutting over each line at least six times.
Step 4: Once that is done, you can pop out the paper, revealing your hollowed out box. You may have to repeat step 3 several times to get the desired deepness for your “box”. Remember it only has to be as deep as the rings that will be going inside of it.
Step 5: Now slip a ribbon through the cut box (making sure to go through all of the pages that are cut).
Step 6: Slip the rings onto the ribbon and rest them inside your hollowed box. Close book and tie ribbon with a bow.

{via Ruffled } "Brittni from papernstitch sent over this DIY vintage book ring holder tutorial. Brittni made one for her own Library wedding last year, but this ring holder would look beautiful in any ceremony. I can imagine using this ring holder as a keepsake, tucking your vows in the book to reread them on your anniversary…"

pretty, pretty homes
I am swooning big time over this house. Seriously, the dots of color incorporated throughout are so lovely.
And, wow, I would loveeeeeee to have a completely white house with little pops of strategically placed color like this. (I try my hardest, but with a black dog that sheds like no other it's incredibly difficult!)
Gorg! I'd take any of these.

I've been patiently waiting for Sex and the City 2 since at least December and as May 27 draws near, I can't help but want to see more!
Good thing ColliderVideos put together NINE(!) movie clips from SATC 2!
This might tide me over.

Follow your bliss
I've only been hearing amazing things about Bliss Bakery in Omaha's Old Market. Their blog had the cutest story, I just had to share:
Kacie Sea writes: "Today was the grand re-opening of Bliss Old Market Bakery. The week was full of preparation and the day was perfect-beautiful weather, great live music outside and amazing pastries and sweets!
"On top of those events, we helped set up an engagement! The couple were on a walk downtown and in the window of Bliss were two cakes that our fabulous team made that said "Melissa...Marry me!" I got to sit outside and photograph it without her suspecting a thing...don't worry, she said yes! Now that's what I call Bliss!"
QUITE the full-service bakery! I must go check this place out for myself.
Has anyone been to Bliss Bakery? What did you think?

headed to omaha
I'm heading to Omaha today for tons of Quite Like It and baby fun!
Tomorrow we'll be doing a photo shoot with our awesome photog Alyssa and Sunday it's baby shower time! Here's a little preview of the panda-themed baby shower.
We printed these invites on super smooth, velvety luxe paper so it's kind of like petting a panda. More to come...
