fancy pants

Boy do I fancy these pillows from mimou! They're made from linen, have handmade silk roses and are perfect in every way.

I'll take one in each color!

I'm head-over-heels for this Blushing in Pink tulle-ified dress by Ouma Clothing.

Wouldn't a pink wedding dress be lovely?

my sea bag

The husb brought me back this very cool Sea Bag from Maine. All Sea Bags are made from recycled sails and mine happens to be made from a one-of-a-kind vintage sail.

The best part is they're super durable so I can just throw it in the washing machine if it gets too dirty.

I'm in love!

blackberry season

Blackberry season is on! I'm hoping to go picking soon, but for now I'll think about all of the goodies I likely won't make with my blackberries.

paint chip art

I noticed this sharp looking Sherwin Williams ad while flipping through the latest issue of Real Simple. It's amazing! Makes me want to become a paint chip artist.

Good, clever design is sure a breath of fresh air!

iPad: before and after

As you know, I got a new iPad a few weeks ago. But I have to let you in on a little secret...I've been a terrible iPad owner.

Before:

Thankfully, my bro and sis-in-law have taken pity on my iPad. I'm happy to report that a new case from Wallaby Bag Company arrived on my doorstep last week! I'm no longer ashamed of my iPad carrying companion.

After:

Thanks, guys!

birthday in maine

Now, about our trip to Maine. We decided to go up for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. If it was always summer, Maine would be the ideal state. It was beautiful and relaxing and delicious.

Plus, I got to mark another state off my list...11 more to go!

packing light and right

I spent a long weekend in Maine (more on that tomorrow) and boy, oh boy do they have moody weather up there. It's the kind of weather that makes it incredibly hard to pack!

I'm an over-packer (and a list maker) so I was very thankful when I found this free printable Dress Me list by LobotoME on See Jane Fly a few months back. It sure made packing efficiently for this trip easier.

You should definitely download it.

patiently waiting

I've been patiently waiting for my new little niece to arrive...any day now! Since my bro and sis-in-law live in Texas, I put together this box of wonderful goodies for them.

I sent it FedEx and it reportedly arrived in one awesome, still-put-together piece! (Thank you FedEx!)

Here are a few of my fav finds:

1. Soft Blocks from Dwell Studio
2. Piggy Baby Blankie from Tiny Toes
3. baby-gami book from Paper Source
4. Appliqued Pig Bodysuit from SoBright Designs
5. Garden Stacking Cups from Babies R Us
6. Piggy Baby Spoon from Beehive Kitchenware Co.
7. Cute Chick Bib and Birp Cloth from The Land of Nod
8. Double Thirsty Tote from Built NY

We're also working on their amazing watercolor baby announcements...stay tuned!

thanks, anthro

I got the most adorable Birthday wish from Anthropologie via snail mail yesterday. So adorable, tactile and fun...the candle even doubles as a necklace.

Just another reason to love Anthro!

HBD, America!

The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday—the food, the fireworks, the fact that my own birthday is less than a week away. I love it. Yesterday we celebrated by spending time with fam by the bbq and pool.

We also got crafty and made these adorable cupcake flags to get in the red, white and blue spirit!

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday too!
